Fauxlographic Etching Lab

Begin with a tested iridescent marking setting, generate and engrave a calibration grid, photograph the result, and analyze how hatch angle, line interval, and optional laser-setting variations change its appearance.

Save useful measured cells as fauxlographic swatches in a Fauxlographic Palette, then select that palette in Rasterizer to map artwork into varied diffraction-grating layers. These iridescent marks are not true holograms.

Depthmap/Relief Engraving Lab

Load an image and initialize a relative depthmap locally with an in-browser depth model. Inspect the grayscale depth and relief projection, adjust the usable range, paint corrections, and optionally use a saved Depth Palette to let source colors influence interpreted depth.

Export an 8-bit or 16-bit grayscale depthmap for relief-engraving preparation. A single image cannot provide measured physical depth, so every result requires visual review and may need manual correction.
