Membership Benefits and Guest Access
You can explore the Rasterizer without creating an account. Membership becomes most useful when the application is part of a repeatable workflow, especially when you work from more than one browser or maintain settings for several laser-and-lens combinations.
Using Rasterizer as a guest
Guest access supports Rasterizer jobs without registration. Choose a freshly uploaded LightBurn Material Library, upload a self-contained Fauxlographic Swatch Palette created by Fauxlographic Etching Lab, or select SVG-only mode when you do not want to provide laser settings. Ordinary uploaded libraries allow swatch renaming and enabling or disabling for that run.
Guest Rasterizer use is limited to five successfully validated jobs per UTC day. A submission counts only after the worker validates the artwork, processing parameters, Material Library or Fauxlographic Palette, and selected material when applicable, so bad inputs rejected during that validation do not consume the allowance.
Guest swatch edits, palette choices, dimensions, preset controls, and other preferences are not saved. Guest jobs do not appear in Job History. Keep the active page open while processing and download the completed outputs from their 15-minute signed links.
Guest laboratory access
Color Lab guests can upload a Material Library, generate and engrave discovery grids, load a previous Grid ID, analyze photographs, measure swatches, refine a selected result repeatedly, and export selected settings as a .clb file. They cannot save directly to Swatch Palette Vault.
Fauxlographic Etching Lab guests can upload a Material Library, generate and engrave a calibration grid, measure its photograph locally, and download a self-contained Fauxlographic Swatch Palette file. Keep that file: a guest can upload it on the Rasterizer page to run Fauxlographic Artwork, while a member can save it in Swatch Palette Vault and select it without uploading it each time.
The browser-based Depthmap Generator remains available without an account, but saved Depth Palette color guidance requires signing in and selecting a Depth Palette from Swatch Palette Vault.
What membership adds
Authenticated members can submit unlimited Rasterizer jobs instead of using the guest daily allowance. Rasterizer, Color Lab, and Fauxlographic Etching Lab each remember the member's most recently used editable settings for seven days and restore them on the next visit, reducing repetitive setup while keeping every restored value editable. For security, browsers never repopulate artwork, photographs, or Material Library file inputs; upload those files again when a workflow requires them.
Membership also opens the personal Swatch Palette Vault and Community Set. Saved LightBurn Material Libraries can be inspected, edited, combined, used to generate labeled test coupons, and labeled with laser source, lens field of view, and notes. Members can also create Hatch Palettes and Depth Palettes, save Fauxlographic Palettes, and explore anonymously contributed settings from comparable setups in Community Set. Palettes and settings you choose to save in Swatch Palette Vault remain private unless you choose to anonymously share eligible settings with Community Set.
Portable job history
Authenticated job history belongs to the account rather than one browser session. Sign in to the same account from another browser or device and retained jobs, processing information, and downloads remain available for the balance of their seven-day retention window.
Membership does not turn generated job artifacts into permanent storage or extend their retention beyond seven days. Download .svg file and .lbrn2 file results you intend to keep and include them in your own normal backup process.
Privacy remains the same
Signing in changes how the application recognizes your resources; it does not make them public. Account jobs and saved resources are restricted to the authenticated account, while guest jobs require their temporary guest capability. Other users cannot browse or download your submitted artwork or generated results.
Choosing the right mode
Guest access is a practical choice for evaluating Rasterizer, exporting a Color Lab palette, downloading or uploading a Fauxlographic Swatch Palette, using the browser-based Depthmap Generator, or completing an occasional job without retaining an account workflow. Membership is the stronger fit for regular use, larger testing sessions, work across multiple browsers or devices, Job History, saved Material Libraries, saved palettes, and repeatable machine-specific settings without repeated file management.
Use the Sign in or sign up control when you are ready to create or enter an account. Continue as a guest when temporary outputs and the five-validated-Rasterizer-job daily allowance meet your needs.
